ARES AZSZ1001 FPV SYSTEM: 5.8GHZ 25MW TRANSMITTER & 600TVL CAMERA
FPV stands for 'First Person View' and it allows an unmanned aerial vehicle to be piloted using the pilot's view point on-board the aircraft, rather than by line of sight from the ground.
The components required for FPV are as follows: An on-board camera that is typically a wide-angle (120 degree) high resolution (720p) that is combined with a video transmitter to send the live video footage back to earth. The video transmitter normally operates on 5.8GHz and its power output is governed by regional legislation. The operating channel can be selected on the Video Transmitter (VTx) to avoid clashes when operating or racing other quads.
The VTx uses a cloverleaf antenna for best reception. The live video feed is captured by a 7" or 9" monitor that the pilot uses to view the on-board video. The monitor can be standard or high definition and normally mounts on a standard tripod. A sun shield wraps around the monitor to ensure that bright light does not lead to glare and reduced visibility.
The FPV Story:
Ares Z Line now includes a full line-up of quality FPV equipment that is designed to offer a stunning bird's-eye-view from the air. The range includes a number of video transmitters that are optimized to suit a variety of different territories so that you can get the best performance out of your aerial video platform. Along with the video transmitters, there's a choice of antenna that extend the performance yet further and offer very real advantages over the standard kit-supplied linear aerials.
Combined with the wide-angle, high resolution cameras offered as standard with the Crossfire and X:Bolt, crisp, sharp and colourful video footage is fed back to the pilot on the ground. This is captured and displayed on one of three high quality monitors. Each of these offer rich, high or standard definition video that enable the pilot to remotely pilot the vehicle from the cockpit. Don't worry about monitor battery life as both high definition monitors feature a removable LiPo that can be exchanged with a fully charged replacement, or run the monitor from just about any large capacity external battery with 2 to 6 cells.
As each Ares Z Line monitor features an auto-scan function, finding the video output to lock-on to is little more than a button press away. Not all monitors offer this functionality. If you are looking for a simple, high quality solution to your FPV needs, then Ares Z Line has to be your first choice.
The Ares FPV Video Tranmitter at 25mW are legal for hobby use in Australia.
